Council for International Development is organizing a pre-conference forum
during Waterpower XIV where delegations from key emerging markets to provide
updates on new project development and to discuss the status of additional potential
opportunities. This forum will provide a setting where in-country decision
makers can interact with representatives of finance, product and service
providers, and other development professionals to determine how to move

Hydropower staff and member company representatives have been working to visit
member offices on Capitol Hill to support the
Public Private Sector Partnership on Hydropower program. This program is part
of the Clean Energy Technology Export Initiative (CETE). US Hydropower

Hydropower hosted the 2005 Hydro Finance Forum in

committee has been established on finance issues that includes representatives
from the industry, commercial banks, investment funds, pension funds, and
insurance companies. The task force will be working to identify
issues for the finance forum and will also work to identify speakers and
