USAID
Regional Briefings
US Hydropower prepared briefings
for key regional staff at the US Agency for International Development, November 19, 2003. Briefings were
presented to the Europe and Asia Near East bureaus in an
effort to structure activities with USAID in key US Hydropower markets. As you
may be aware, the 2003 Congressional appropriations language asks USAID to
create a $ 3 Million program to support a Public Private Sector Partnership on
Hydropower. These briefings are the beginning discussions toward implementing
programs to support US Hydropower activities with USAID country missions. A
second round of briefings will be organized to address the Latin
America/Caribbean region and follow-up meetings to discuss future activities in
the Europe and Asia Near East Bureaus.
