Our Mission
The
U.S. Hydropower Council for International Development advocates
hydroelectric power as a preferable energy option, which
jointly serves global environmental and energy policy objectives,
and to facilitate access to the experience, capabilities,
and other resources of the U.S. hydropower industry.
Activities
to promote the U.S. hydropower industry are conducted by the
US Hydropower Council for international Development. US Hydropower
membership includes a broad base of companies including investor
owned utilities and private power producers, equipment manufacturers
and suppliers, financiers, and consultants including engineering,
design and legal expertise, all striving to develop hydropower
in emerging markets
Among
the mechanisms used to accomplish its goals, the Council initiates
and participates in:
Trade missions/Reverse trade mission.
Conferences, workshops, and other educational activities.
Policy development and recommendations projects.
Partnering and joint venture facilitation.
Special analysis and reports, such as needs assessment or capacity
potential.
